Random calls/videos from unknown number

Hi there.

This past couple of weeks I've received regular calls and also WhatsApp calls and even 2 attempted video calls from mobile numbers I don't recognise. The first last week over my normal phone I answered and it was someone just making no sense. I hung up and they rung straight back. I blocked it.

Tonight another mobile number tries calling me on regular then tries video calling me on what's app.

Has anyone had this, I'm assuming it's a scam but have no idea where they have got my number from. Is there anything I can do? Any security I can add incase they compromise my phone ?

Blocking individual numbers is the best course of action here.

No harm can come to you or your phone from numbers that are blocked.
