What makes you think that spam callers are specifically targeting you? Random dialling is far more likely.

I am receiving calls every day from different mostly 07 numbers two of which have been from foreign countries. All of which are blocked and reported as Spam.

The two foreign ones were from Hungary , the other from Wisconsin in the USA.

Each call that I have recorded start in Chinese, then gives a short statement in English, Followed by further Chinese- which I do not understand. The subjects they cover are mainly broadband (Threats to close account) or parcel delivery services wanting to discuss delivery. I am getting at least one call a day but mostly 2.

Can you please confirm:

1) what is being done with these blocked and reported calls?

2) is there anything I can do to stop these calls? besides change my phone numbers?

3) are my contacts vulnerable to these calls too?

4) are my apps likely to be hacked?

5) I am a new customer to EE, up to changing I had no issues but these calls have been coming in shortly after signing up with EE. What is the possibility that the calls are being generated through the EE network?

Hi @Dvdsmth,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you're receiving unsolicited calls.

There is no reason to worry that your apps have been hacked, or that the callers can access your contacts or any other information on your phone.

These callers tend to just use automated random number diallers, often from a spoofed phone number.

Please see Online Security: How to Block Unwanted Calls and Texts | EE for some hints and tips.
