I got a call for upgrading my sim to premium I want to confirm that it is fake or real

@HarshaHanspal , that certainly is not one of EE’s partners numbers, so looks like a scam, especially as she asked for your bank details. EE would not do this as they should have all your details, including bank details.

Hope you did not give out any personal details.

It's a fake no. Report it to your network provider by texting CALL {space} The no. to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).

I just give some general details when she started to ask bank details I said same like you ee already have my all bank details and I didn’t give any of me bank details .I just want to aware about it

Definitely a scam, report to 7726 as per XRaySpeX’s advice above.

Similar call just now from 028 9163 7058 number you mentioned. Insisted they were from EE offering to save me money. Poor line. I said that’s strange because I’m already on a staff-only deal, immediately changed the story “ohh actually I am calling from the car phone warehouse company” 🤡

'@Ruffler interesting that they said they were from the car phone warehouse company, as they do not deal with EE anymore and have not for at least two or three years, so just as well you did not go ahead, sounds like another scam. Unfortunately that is the way of the world nowadays.,

Just looked the number up and others have asked about those numbers, so definitely scam numbers.

Also just had the same type of call.

1 day after i started looking at broadband on ee, this is after i loged into my PERSONAL account. This is very worrying in its self.

The offer was very tempting and i stupidly gave them quite a lot of personal info before i realised it was a scam. The penny dropped when they wanted bank info and to take a £45 "refundable security deposit" for my upgrade.

I have reported the number to 7726 but i want to know what EE is doing a out an obvious security breach?
