Phone call from EE, is it a scam?

Hi, I’ve just received a phone call from a number from Durham, saying they were from EE offering me a very good deal on an iPhone 12.

how do I check if this number is legitimate or it’s a scam?

they knew I had been looking online at the phone in question but said the offer they were offering would not be replicated online or in a shop.

the number was 0191 389 6336.

020 3935 6417 I just received a call from this number claiming to be from EE, offering an upgrade, as soon as I said no I was hung up on, I’m presuming EE are not in the habit of hanging up on customers so I would say it’s a scam. Please be aware 👍

You can report marketing calls to 7726. Just text the word call followed by the number that called you.
