False missed calls

I am getting daily calls saying they have a missed call from my number, I do not know their number and have never made such calls - please advise

Try restarting your device, alternatively call EE and ask them to refresh your line.

This occasionally happens which is odd.

Your no. has been spoofed, probably by scammers to hide their id while scamming others. The Number Spoofing Scam - Ofcom explains what could be causing this.

Won't do a thing for this issue.

As mentioned by another responder, your caller-ID has been spoofed which occasionally happens. Spammers make their cold-calls knowing their identity is hidden.
