So, Chrome said my password was found in a data breach at ee.co.uk.

When were you going to tell me about this?

Did you not inform anyone of the data breach?

I can definitely understand being concerned when you get alerted that your login details have been leaked. If we did become aware of any data breaches that had occurred we would inform the ICO and our customers as soon as possible, including details on what may have been leaked and steps to take to secure their accounts.

Is it the Chrome Password check-up feature you are using that is saying your password was breached on ee.co.uk? Because that feature is not able to say where your details have been breached from, only that the same login details you have saved in your password manager have been found on a list of public data breaches.

So when you run the check-up using that feature or have the pop up when logging in to a site, it is not saying your details leaked from ee.co.uk, it is saying the login details you are using for that site have been leaked somewhere. If this has been flagged by Chrome I would recommend changing your EE password now if you have not already. The password check-up feature should also be able to show you all the sites where you have the same login details saved to get those updated also.

You likely have it setup already, if not I would recommend doing so, but for extra protection to keep your account secure we do use 2 factor authentication which is for logging in or making changes to the account, you can read more about it here.
