Scammers?

Hi

Not sure but this certainly sounded like a scam.

At 11.20 this morning we received a mobile call from someone who said they were EE. It was a withheld number so can't help with any numbers. But they said because we were good EE customers we were getting a 20% discount off our bill, wow this sounds brilliant, but then they asked how much our bill was. Thats when it started to sound odd, surely EE would have our details on the screen in front of them so why are they asking.

I think its the give them good news then ask a simple question and slowly start asking more details. At that point I said not happy with answering questions and would contact EE and check my account.

Just to let people know if they get a similar call.

Thanks
