Hi @Beykyu

Welcome to the community.

As a moderator, I can see those images that you tried to download, and it does seem like an excessive amount of spam messages that you're receiving.

You've done the right thing in marking them as spam, but have you forwarded details of the messages to 7726? That way a security team can look into the numbers further. You can also report them here on the 'Which?' website.

The only solution that would take immediate effect would be to change your number, but I understand why you would be reluctant to do that. If you change your mind, our customer support team will be able to change it for you.

I'm looking for some help with persistent spam text messages. Usually I only get them a few times a couple of weeks. But now I'm suddenly getting them every few minutes one after one another where I'm being added to a large group. They're all the same type of some scam claiming to be from some large company or recruitment agency and I report it as spam. This stops them for a while but then they change the message and I have to do this all over again.

Not only that but I think my number might have been spoofed because I'm getting angry texts or calls from strangers that think I'm the one doing this.

I've already talked to someone from EE already and it didnt seem to help that much. They mentioned that its some kind of ongoing attack which makes sense since I'm seeing a lot of EE numbers leaving the groups.

I've tried making this post multiple times but the filter isnt telling me what's wrong with it so I've left out a lot of details.

Changing my number isnt possible at the current time unfortunately. So is there anything else I can do to stop this?

Im having this exact same problem. Also called EE, weren’t any help, wanted me to forward every text to them. I don’t have time to do that 20 times a day.
