You've tried to put a question in the subject line, but it's been cut short and you've not used the body of the message to explain.

I think what you're trying to say is that you've received a call, which you think was from a scammer, purporting to say that EE are going to stop your mobile service in a couple of days, presumably unless you accept their offer of a replacement SIM.

If so - this is indeed a scam caller, no-one's going to lose service in this scenario. Quite the opposite - the caller wants to obtain the replacement SIM on your number, for their use.

My husband called that number again now and she said the same thing that
she told me: That his current SIM card will be blocked unless he takes out
a new one. Only, unlike me, my husband was convinced enough by her to take
her deal on a new SIM card. He cannot be without his phone. He is currently
unemployed and being treated for cancer and a rare condition called
Amyloidosis. This is very confusing and upsetting. Please can I ask you to
investigate. She confirmed that she has sent him an email and that she does
work for EE.
Her number is *********** and I think her name was Meggy/Maggie, she has
an Indian/eastern accent. Please could I ask you to investigate this for
us?

@Itsmechina1 You need to call EE customer support asap. This is a public forum that has no access to your account. You also need to change your EE account passwords and inform your bank account this.

Thanks for popping back with some additional information.

@Debbie_G has included ways to report this above, but while it is being investigated I would advise your husband call our customer care team on 150 as soon as possible so they can take steps to protect his account. This is important to do quickly as our team will be able to check if anyone has accessed his account, and if any changes have been attempted they can look to stop these.

I appreciate he has health issues and I do hope his treatment is going well, so I wouldn't want anything to disrupt his phone service when he needs it the most.
