I've just moved your post to its own thread here, as what you've described here sound a bit different to number spoofing.

If you're noticing your name and number being used to open separate bank accounts, you definitely need to report this to the bank in question using the number on their official website.

There's a chance if you receive a text telling you to call a number that this could be fraudulent, so only ever call numbers listed on cards or the contact us pages of their official site.

I'd also recommend to raise this with the police via Action Fraud, too,
