66033 is a number we use to send messages from. Have you upgraded recently to a new Smart phone and plan?

If so, which device did you get and did you get a new SIM with the upgrade?

It's a scam, 66033 is not a number used by EE.

I received the same text today and contacted EE, you do not need a new sim for a new phone, unless it's off the old type. They are all those micro cards now, and fully compatible with everything.

That's not what I was told today.

66033 is also used by other scammers claiming to be from other networks as well.

So if EE are using it sometimes, it's probably best suggested that it's not safe or secure to be using it.

The text message cited in this thread is a genuine outbound one from EE. It's missing some of the more common hallmarks of attempted SIM-swap fraud
