SMS from EE?

Hi

I received an SMS from "EE?" today. It came through amongst my previous messages from EE, with the conversation being from "- EE -" (not the 150 conversation)

All that was on the message was a download icon. (a down-arrow pointing into a tray)

No other text came with the SMS. Just this icon.

Is this a scam? I dont want to click the icon just in case. If it is a scam, how can it get into my previous "-EE-" chat thread?

If it is not a scam, then what is the message for?

Thanks

Paul

That looks genuine, albeit something sent via MMS (instead of SMS) and - for whatever reason - your phone can't download the picture or video.

Hey @hawkerpaul 😊

There's definitely a chance that this is a multimedia message your phone hasn't fully downloaded like @bristolian mentioned.

We will occasionally send marketing texts in this kind of format, but I'm not able to say for sure what it is at my end.

Our customer care team do have a tool to view the various interactions we've had with your account though, so if you give them a call, they should be able to help confirm this for you.
