&lt;P&gt;Thanks for sharing your experience. It certainly isn't a call from EE, but the text does seem like it could be genuine, and that someone was trying to access your account. Did the text come from a number?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It is worth giving our customer service guides a call, and letting them know what has happened, so they can make sure your account is secure.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can also report the call as a scam call on our &lt;A href="https://www.bt.com/exp/help/contact-bt/form/scams" target="_blank"&gt;Report a scam or nuisance call&lt;/A&gt; form.&lt;/P&gt;

Please stay safe there number is now not recognised!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Ive had the exact same situation, a call from someone caliming to be from EE talking about updating their network.&amp;nbsp; They send me a text with a pin and then asked me to confirm it back, but I was pretty dubious so didn't give them the number and eventually hung up.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If you do receive any calls in the future saying they are from EE, you can check if it is a genuine call on our &lt;A href="https://ee.co.uk/help/profile/manage/phone-calls-from-our-partners" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Phone numbers EE partners will call from&lt;/A&gt; page.&lt;/P&gt;
