Just had the below email, all logo'd up with EE and BT logos but presume this is a scam? If I press reply it goes to broadband.trials@bt.com

@Torkijo , I have just put the link into my browser and it appears legitimate, I very much doubt it is a scam. Just clicked on links there and they work, so cannot be a scam.

Probably a genuine enquiry/invitation to register for an upcoming trial but clearly if you are concerned about following any links and registering or have no desire to participate just ignore.

You are right to be weary of emails like this as there are a lot of scam emails going around.

However, I can confirm this is a legit email about a trial.

while it’s best to also side on caution I find it quite funny that the last part of the email states about not being allowed to share this email with anyone. Goes to proceed to post on a public forum.

@Chris_B To be fair to the original poster this appears to be an invite to them to join a trials group, the poster at this point in time will not have read/signed up to any trials group T&Cs about confidentially of any information supplied to them in the email.. As the invite was not expected they questioned whether it might be spam/legit.

I’m supposed to be part of this now, starting today but EE seem to know nothing about it??? It’s made me very anxious.

EE Customer Services in general would have no idea of ongoing trials - there should be specific trial support made available to you.

None of this is public information, but you should receive communication about ongoing trials directly to your email or through your CenterCode TrialCentre account.
