topic Managing online safety - can i do this without the app? in Security

Can I only manage my online safety control through the app?

I want to adjust my current broadband filters to allow some social media websites on my PC - currently, social media is blocked because I don't want my kids to be on it, but I need to use LinkedIn for job searches and applications. When I look to adjust my parental controls, I just get a link saying to download the app.

The app is useless. I spent half an hour last night having to load and reload it, and still was not able to adjust my parental controls.

I don't understand why EE restricts parental controls to those who want to have a smart phone - broadband is predominantly for home based devices. Anyway, that's my rant over.

Does anyone know of any other way to adjust parental controls without the app? Am I missing something on my online account?

Thank you

BB Parental Controls can only be done on the app.

I agree, it is blinkered thinking on the part of EE to expect Home BB routers' config to be achievable only by a smartphone app, but what do you expect of a mobile firm?
