Parental control - block a phone

I have a 12 and 15 year old boys. How can I block their phones from being used when I want. I have family link but it's not enough and one is android and the other ios.

Is there a way to simply disabled their phones or sim cards remotely?

Welcome to the Community.

Family Link is a good shout, as this should give you control over locking/unlocking their devices as you see fit.

When I've used this feature myself, it's worked instantly with no issues. Have you tried doing this before?

@AndyT10 Upon setting up the iPhone you can set it up for a child and with that you can put time limits on it, I’m pretty certain android has something very similar
