topic Restricting Call Times for Someone with Dementia in Security

Mum has dementia and is in a care home but she still wants her phone with her to call family & friends. The only problem is that she gets confused with times, especially at night, and I want to restrict her ability to call out at unsociable times. Is there a way to prevent calls being made between, for example, 9pm to 9am?

If this can't be done through EE, is there a phone or app that will do it. We are planning to buy her a super simple, big button phone without apps (if possible) as even her current Doro is too complicated for her, but will consider keeping one with apps if that's the only way to resolve this problem.

I had hoped there would be a parental control on EE we could use, as I'm sure there are plenty of parents who want to stop their kids using their phones after a certain time (without having to remove the phone altogether or make changes daily).

Android phones offer parental controls baked into the OS, which can restrict use of the device on a schedule.

It's not a mobile network function, but an operating system one.
