Scammer !

Number : 07418 374159 called me said they were from EE and wanted to lower my bill for me I wasn’t sure how , the woman said she will send me a pin and then I would receive information about a new deal. The pin did come from EE so stupidly I read it out ,it felt weird I said I wanted to call EE back later to discuss ,she didn’t want too (red flag) so I googled the number and saw it was a scam! And hung up but somehow I did actually receive a pin from EE so idk what will happen now as I did give it to her 😞

If you're concerned about unsolicited contact from other companies, you can visit How to avoid and prevent scams including phishing, vishing and smishing for hints on how to block and prevent these.

You can also report the call to be investigated at Report a scam call | Help

In the mean time please log into your EE online account and change your password as soon as possible as a precaution.

I would call EE Customer Services urgently to try to prevent the caller from taking any activity on your account as you have just given them access with the Pin you read out.

I had exactly the same! They’ve tried to call me back twice today when I said I couldn’t chat yesterday. I doubt EE would be so persistent to reduce my bill!!!

Just had the same number call me, and immediately googled it so thank you for raising this, and sorry they got you 😞

When the caller asked what phone model I had I said 'oh I'm not sure, are you able to check for me? I think it's a google pixel' - she said 'yes I can see on the system that's what you have'. I've always had iPhones so that's when I knew!

I did manage to keep talking to them for 10 minutes wasting their time, asking lots of questions, so hopefully it saved a couple more people from getting the call!

Hopefully EE can do something about it

Same number called me to offer me some deal. I was busy at that time so I hung up in rush, they said they'll call back again.

Just had a call from this same number 07418 374159 they hung up after a few seconds. I googled and found it was an EE scam.
