topic Cloned? in Security

For many years now I’ve been receiving texts & calls for the same person(that isn’t me!) now, for the last 3 weeks, I’ve been receiving ‘call backs’ from numbers I’ve never heard of. The last one was today 12.30pm, I would have to have made the call while my hands were in the washing up bowl & the phone was playing random tunes! Have I been cloned? The calls must have been from my number but 110% weren’t me!

Hi there @JV13

Thanks for coming to the community.

I appreciate how concerning this would be receiving callbacks that you have not made.

This could be call spoofing, this is when the caller ID is changed to mimic another number or destination. Our Call spoofing - The EE Community article has full details on what this is.

If you would like to get this looked into, please give us a call on 150.

Leanne.
