Spoofed Number

My landline number has been spoofed. I recieve several calls a day from people calling me back on a missed call when I haven't called them. Looking at the many posts about spoofed numbers it would appear that EE is not doing anything to prevent this happening. A recent article in the i newspaper stated "spoofed UK landline numbers are to be blocked under a new crackdown. Phone companies will now have to identify and block calls from abroad which falsely display a UK telephone number as a "presentation number" under strengthened guidance from the communications regulator OFCOM." What is the response from EE?

@Fasted Your reading comments about mobile numbers not landlines that are being spoofed in these comments. I think your the first to mention a landline ( that I’ve seen anyway)

And if I’m reading the same article it was published 29th of July.
You also assumed that this is being done by someone abroad and not within the UK and that article clearly mentions spoofing numbers from abroad.
