Can't make credit card payments since switching to EE

Had to switch from BT to EE and inserted new card yesterday, tried to pay for postage online with Royal mail today as I usually do but kept blocking payment at text autorization stage, seset my computer and cookies, phoned my credit card company 3 times who eventually told me it was EE blocking payment, called EE and they told me it is a new newsecurity to block credit card payments on new cards for 7 days but I can't find any evidence of this ontheir website or anywhere on the net,

Has anyone ever heard of this new security measure ?

Can you receive texts from other companies and contacts?

Have you restarted your phone since your number transferred to EE?

Hi Leanne, yes I can receive all other texts which is why it took all day to find out what problem is after phoning EE they told me it is a new security feature and have to wait 7 days - after being with BT mobile (EE) for years and moving over to EE thought it would be trouble free but I have never heard of this before and can;t find anything about it anywhere.
