Scam offering 30%

Today I received a call from 020 4592 7771 offering 30% discount.

They suggested that the discount was available to my mobile which was an old mobile number.

I asked them who they were again and they said EE. I told them I didn't have a mobile with the number they suggested and they then stopped the call.

You did the right thing in challenging the caller. That wasn't a genuine call from EE.

You can report the call by texting CALL followed by the number to 7726.

Those weren't genuine calls from EE.

You can report the calls by texting CALL followed by the number to 7726.

These aren't genuine EE calls.

Please follow the advice provided and text CALL followed by the number to 7726, they relevant team will be able to investigate this further.

Hi,

I've just had a call from 02045922399 offering me 30% off my plan, plus a free "gift hamper" due to my "loyalty to EE".

The worrying thing is that they had all my information. My home address, my phone, the additional number on my account, and the plan I was including the details of my recent upgrade. This concerns me hugely! Has there been a data breach? I have changed my password on my EE account and added two-step verification. What other steps can I take to ensure my data security?

If the number is not listed that called you, please text CALL followed by the number to 7726 and our security team will get this looked into.

hi today i have received a scam call they told me about u got a 30 percent discount on your mobile bill nd ask me about email i’d by mistake i tell them they send me a 6 digit number and after that they send me a code on text message which i told them by mistake i shared my dob and addres but i didn’t share my bank details now i am worried about it plz help me what should i do

Reset you login with EE first to remove their access. Don’t accept any Free
gift if they offered it to you, don’t accept the delivery.

Contact the credit search agencies to block searches on your record.

So far I have had no issues after doing this.

@Gurmeet4 change any passwords you might of gave them. Contact EE about this to inform them what’s happened.

I had this today too, what are they trying to gain from these scams? They already had access to all of my information, full name, address, email address and date of birth 🙈

Today I received a similar call from 07940. 919788. Got so far then relaised this must be a scam. Interesting it has resurfaced.
