iPhone 18Pro Max update

Hi I ordered on the 19th Sep.
New to iPhone and EE so was not aware of delays or demand 🫠

I have had the email ‘your order was successful - you will receive a further email/ text once the order has been dispatched.

The upfront fee has been taken - (no longer pending)

I am able to track the order it - it says awaiting dispatch.

I have had nothing since - nothing about delays for delivery etc. I am resigned to the fact I’ll be waiting around a month for the phone but should I have received further information due to the delay etc.

I was going to request a pac code from my current provider but not sure what the process or time scale is to switch.

@JK710 PACs last a month then if not used you’ll need to request a new PAC. You could be waiting longer than a month to get the new device from EE. You’ll not get any real information about the current order until a device can be allocated to you then you’ll receive tracking information. Download the DPD app and create an account with the same email address you use for EE. On the DPD you’ll get the Pin that you have to give the driver to receive the device and you can track your order when it’s out for delivery.

Thanks for your response Chris - really more than a month? That’s crazy although new to iPhone and the network so my own fault for being ignorant.

Not sure if to cancel and try a different model or even elsewhere. Although I suppose all providers are in the same boat with the popular colours/models.

I’ll give it a couple of weeks, hopefully it will have calmed down by then and I may have a clearer idea on timescales.

@JK710 Its always high demand on or just after release day and there is always a backlog of orders that have to be shipped first. Apple can not manufacture them quick enough for all networks worldwide and themselves. It’s the same every year and the popular networks have the biggest backlog because of the amount of orders.

Honestly its apparently a 21 to 28 day backlog but since you ordered after release it could very well end up being longer than that. I pre ordered on 12th September and still don't have the phone. I have no idea when I will be getting mine right now and am only just able to track it at all from today, mine also says awaiting dispatch.

It is crazy how Apple somehow manages to massively under estimated demand year after year when releasing these phones

Hey,

I originally ordered the iPhone 18 Pro Max 1TB in Burgundy during the pre-sale, but unfortunately the order didn’t go through properly.

After chasing EE, I had to place a completely new order and pay the upfront fee again. The new order was placed on Wednesday 16th September.

I’ve been told the delivery timeframe is within 14 days, but I’m wondering if anyone else who ordered the Burgundy 1TB model around the same time has received theirs yet, or has had a dispatch update?

My current phone isn’t working very well, so I was originally hoping to have the new one around launch day on the 18th. Just trying to get an idea of how long I might actually be waiting.

Looking at the order history for iPhone 18 Pro Max 1TB Burgundy , stock guidance while placing the order on the 16th September was: "Available to order (Expect despatch within 21 days)"

On a side note, the Pro Max 1TB in Black and Silver versions are Now in stock - Expect despatch within 1 day if ordered today.

Thank you for this. However when I went to look at it on Wednesday 16th and Thursday it said delivery within 14 days! It recently changed over the weekend to 21 days now, so I hope it comes soon rather than later.

So orders of iPhone 18 Pro Max 512GB Burgundy on the 19th September had the guidance "Available to order -Expect despatch in more than 28 days".

If you're looking to try a different model - the 512GB in Black or Glacier are the only ones that are expected within 14 days if ordered this morning.

The 512GB is a popular size. Sticking with the Pro Max, if you go up to 1TB the Silver & Black they are still in stock this morning for delivery within 1-3 days.

Or dropping to the Pro version only, 512GB Black, Silvery and Glacier ordered this morning looks like they would be dispatched in 1 day.

Checking online the Pro Max 1TB in burgundy shows it would be dispatched within 28 days.

You can check the latest shipping guidance for different model/colour/size for new orders placed today on our website at iPhone 18 Pro Max from EE 😀

I ordered the exact same on the 14th and only yesterday got my awaiting dispatch email, they told me on the 14th it’ll be up to 21 days until I receive my order… hoping it comes before I go away, quite a big hope as that’s only 7 working days away🤞🏼

Just to update -

called EE today just to discuss other colours etc to see if I could get a phone any quicker.

The shortest wait was 2 weeks so I just said I’d wait the 4 weeks. Customer service clarified the wait was up to 4 from the date I ordered which was sat 19th.

Anyway - I’ve just received a text from DPD with my pin, so I am presuming it will be arriving in the next day or 2!?
So hopefully anyway waiting on the burgundy max pro 512gb yours will be with you shortly too 🤞🤞

Haven’t called them yet but I don’t think I’m going to need to, just had my dpd pin sent over!😁 hopefully we both get them tomorrow, or the day after🤞🏼

For anyone who come here for the same reason I did, I ordered the pro max burgundy 1tb late afternoon on the 14th, had my awaiting dispatch email yesterday morning and just had my dpd pin sent over to me a couple minutes ago 🙂
