Chris

I work in finance, I'm afraid your wrong very misguided on how credit reference agencies work with businesses and facilitate or help businesses come to a decision to determine the risk any client or customer is, some merely provide conflicting information between all 3 so being in the as you put it **1%** is false no such thing, you could have 3 credit cards pay them off every month and a fantastic mortgage and still be refused credit for a simple chocolate bar, if you earn £100k have zero debt and apply for a £10k loan highly likely you will be knocked back by all 3 depending on WHICH agency the firm uses, your deemed more a risk when suddenly your seeking money when you have no history of credit applications for them to make a decision based on previous applications, I feel your trying to rub salt into OPs dilemma, he could be in this dilemma where EE internal checks can't determine his risk so they are prepared to risk X AMOUNT as long as X AMOUNT is paid upfront in his case this is unfortunate £500 I am assuming he is on upgrade anytime and not flex pay o would advise him to use add to plan and pay off other device once add to plan is in his hands and go sim only

And yes I don't doubt you have good credit but there is no such thing as AMAZING CREDIT I wouldn't surprised if there's some some ego massaging when OP needs help not reminding about your personal credit circumstances, everyone's credit changes with the markets we go to war the chances of gaining the same credit card you were approved for yesterday TODAY is marginally more difficult, hence why your 1% is just Fictional unfortunately that some believe is correct but really its a myth

Had a text to say upgrade z8 series no fees

.when I tried to do online told me 500 up front cost. So decided to call. The very unhelpful agent said, it was doing same for him. So I said could he sort it. He came back and said not eligible yet.

There's an upgrade fee of £0.00 but the £500 is an upfront cost.example I'm upgrading from s25 ultra and the z8 fold ultra handset price is considerably more than the s25 hence the upfront fee.ive only got 8 months left on contract so thinking of buying z8 handset @£68 pm x 24 and going sim o ly when contract runs expires.

A credit score is also individual to each specific lender. Each lender scores your credit history against their own criteria, the "credit score" that some of the CRAs can sell can be useful as an indicator but not much else.

Different lenders can view a small amount of late payments different ways.

Steven, have you thought about doing the sim only and or using the add to plan? Or if your eligible the flex pay which is better for paying of these ridiculous large costs of handsets they range from 12-48 months and potentially just an internal credit check if your eligible you also get to pay off the device early with no extra cost, personally if I was you I would move to this as samsung and apple are both failing to produce devices with a significant change thats worth £2600, i have the S26 ultra 1TB EE were robbing expletive didn't offer the discount price, unless apple fold is amazing and truly innovative i wont be switching back, but currently I'm able to take 4 Zfold8 ultra 1TB however I use flex pay and no upfront cost over 12 to 48 months i would be more inclined to take the 36 month due to the minimal upgrade on "pro max or ultra" devices

Dont be fooled buddy the zfold 7 is the same just 1mm more thicker you'll get one ui9 with fancam too dont give EE £500 upfront for the same device as last year
