Wrong spec laptop sent, but only just realised

On the 1st August last year i ordered (as described) Acer Nitro V14 with the following spec: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS , NVIDIA RTX 4050, 16GB RAM

This was a present for my son. This evening he was having RAM issues, basically it was saying he only had 8GB of installed RAM, ‘no’ I said, you have 16GB etc etc. In any event on checking system settings i find we were actually sent and Acer Nitro V14 with the following: AMD Ryzen 5 8645HS, NVIDIA RTX 3050 , 8GB RAM

I know 8 months have passed , but never did i think i would receive anything other than i had ordered, so didn’t even think to check it was correct, also it was a gift to my son and he wouldn’t know either way. I’m actually furious at both EE and myself for taking this long to realise and upset for my son given that he’s ultimately the one that’s affected…. What is my position now? given that i’ve only just realised i didn’t receive what id ordered, irrespective of time surely this can’t be right. Shame on you EE, i’m assuming others fell foul of this and its not isolated.
