Upgrade daughter’s phone

Hi, i wondered if anyone can help?

Wanting to upgrade my daughter’s phone for Christmas. Is there anyway that I can do this (I hold all the accounts - multiple contracts - under my account) without any texts/communication going to her number.

As long as your contact no. & email addy in your Profile are yours all msgs should go to you.

When an upgrade is processed, notifications about the upgrade, change of plan, details of new allowances, etc will always go to the device which is being upgraded. It's a security measure.

To avoid this, you could have a look at purchasing the device separately as a SIM-Free phone, spreading the cost over 24 months with 0% APR.
You can then drop your daughters plan to SIM only once she has her shiny new Christmas present.

@Ali_A : Wouldn't it be more secure if any such notifications were sent to the A/c Holder & Bill Payer? After all, he is the owner of the device & might not be aware of what the user of the device is doing with it.

Customer can select which number they'd like to receive main notifications to, or add alternative contact details if their number is not on the billing account, otherwise by default they will go to the phone-line in question.

However, the upgrade plan change notifications will always go to the phone that is undergoing the change.
Sorry, that should have said safety (rather than security) measure.
