Where is my iPhone17?

I placed my order in 13th September and received confirmation of my order on 17th September. Since placing my order I’ve received three phone calls from ‘EE’ and I believe at least one of them to be a scam so I’m feeling quite nervous/apprehensive about my order.
When I ordered it stated delivery would be on release day but this has not happened and no sign that it will arrive today either (day after release). Any ideas when I can expect to receive it? This is my first experience with EE and so far I’m not impressed.

Thanks for replying. My tracking is showing ‘awaiting dispatch’. I’m so disappointed. Is this usual with preorders? I understood I’d have it on release day.

Depending on stock supplied by Apple. Apple always create the fake demand and stock issue every year.
