So it's have anytime upgrade and have had for a number of years. So I thought I go and see what's on offer. I like the look of the Honour V5 Magic. Unfortunately I would have to pay £150 up front for the device (upgrade is free due to eligibility) I decided to do a comparison and EE are doing the same deal to new customers but only charging £30 upfront fee. Also the no frills package is cheaper also. Now I understand the need for new customers and incentives to join however I find it remarkable that the difference for packages with loyal customers is so great. Not impressed

Same as many other goods and services. You are in essence upgrading hence the difference in costs.

Try speaking to EE CS on 150 and they might be able to offer a deal.
