topic Sim swap without photo ID? in Orders

I have a birth certificate

Proof of address

Letters from police with my name and address on it.

I partly know the email registered with the number (it’s a hide my email but I know the 2 words just not the little extra bit that Apple adds to them)

I can’t access the email though

also, I have a bank account that requires 2fa. First I have to input my password for the 2fa option to show up. Once it does, the option shows the last digits of the phone number (the one I lost), for me to get that to show up I must first enter the right password for the account.
the account shows my first name on it when I do this.
I’m saying that because it shows that I have the password to a bank account that a) has the same name as my birth certificate and name that is registered with the phone number and b) is tied to the phone number I’m trying to access.
This is as well as having birth certificate, letters from official bodies with address on, and knowing the full phone number (not just the last digits shown on the 2fa page)

is there any possible way that ee could work with me? I know their policy is only photo ID. But is there any flexibility here?

Unfortunately none of those are accepted forms of ID for a SIM Replacement to be issued in an EE Retail store. The only accepted forms are a UK Driving Licence or a Full (Book) Passport of any nationality.

The rules are there for a reason unfortunately, and there is no special dispensation or flexibility for these situations. You can instead order a replacement SIM through EE Customer Services over the phone which will not require Photographic ID as security is carried out in a different way.

The EE Help page for SIM Swaps can be found here: https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/getting-started/sim/what-is-a-sim-swap

Will the replacement sim have the old number or just a new number?
