Friends and family discount code - not working

Hello

I'm getting the error that the code entered is not applicable with data plan despite the data plan having no discount already applied to it. Please can you help? This is the an iphone and the EE unlimited all rounder data plan.

@Isobel27 I just tested myself with a code and it was accepted on this phone and plan so no compatibility issues there. If its happening on other plans it could be a problem with the code itself or with your browser.

Try using another browser and see if it allows you to redeem it. Also clear the cookies and cache of your current browser and when prompted accept all cookies from the EE website. Typing rather than copying and pasting the code is also recommended to try.

I have had the same issue with isobel with my friends and family discount code. I have tried other plans and followed your suggestions. However it still saying it is not applicable to the plan. I am trying to get the sim only 150GB plan.

The 150GB plan is a Time Limited Offer and as such it is incompatible with any discounts.

If this is an Upgrade, you would only be able to use the discount on the 25GB Essentials SIM at £25, Unlimited No Frills at £27, Unlimited Essentials at £32, Essentials Plus at £36, All Rounder at £42, or Full Works at £48 as these are EE's Core offerings with no discounts or promotions present.

If joining as a New Customer, only some of these may show up for ordering but the list above are the only compatible plans with discount codes.

Am having the same problem. Trying to use code on all rounder iPhone but getting same error message.
Don’t understand why it won’t work on the iPhone version of this plan but will on non-iPhone? Especially as the iPhone plan has been around for ages and isn’t time-limited.

How do I get this code applied to the iPhone plan? I’ve been told to purchase the plan and then fill in some form but I’m not keen in case 1) the code is declined for whatever reason or 2) it takes EE more than 14 days to decide if valid or not, after which I’m stuck in a 2 year contract paying double what should.

Unfortunately yes. See my original thread below also. Have tried on mobile and also laptop. Others have reported same problem, like above.

I’m reluctant to take out the plan and then fill in the form (as suggested in my thread below) afterwards in case the code is for some reason declined by EE and then stuck in 2y contract full price. I even called EE but there’s nothing they can do as code needs to be used online only.

Just bizarre works on non-iPhone All Rounder but not the iPhone specific one!

I know. It’s frustrating.
I guess my only hope was that someone from EE here could escalate this to whatever team adds/manages the sim only tariffs online to get them to enable use of F&F code for this plan and also the others people have had issues with.

Doesn’t seem right that can’t use the code on the iPhone version of the plan, but is OK on the other?

If there’s anyway you can escalate then amazing.
Other than that I’ll just keep trying in the hope it gets fixed!

I wasn’t looking for anyone to access my account, more so for someone to escalate to your back office/IT/web team to let them know about the issue so can get resolved for everyone
