Old phone trade in

So I'm trading my old phone in and I have the pre paid returns label, but I am going to pay for upgraded special delivery.

Just wondering, so they know who the phone is from when it arrives should I put the pre paid return label inside the package so they can still scan it when they open it or should i write my details down?

Welcome to the community,

You put the prepaid return label on the outside of the package, as when you seal it, they will know who it is from, as they can scan the label, that is how it is done, otherwise you will not have free return etc, do not put it inside the package, but on the outside.

@skajme I also highly recommend you pay the difference to have the item insured when posting. Should the item get lost the trade in will then cost you as there is no trade in device.

ok I appreciate the replies but did you even read my post??

I literally said in the first line that I am upgrading to special delivery, the question was about how to identify the package with it having a different delivery label on it

Thanks for coming to the community.

As @Schockwave mentioned, you would attach the returns label to the returns bag, your package would be identified using this information.

I'm still not sure why you're not understanding what I'm saying. I'm upgrading the free postage to special delivery so they will print a new postage label that will surely get stuck over the original free post one?

So then how will they scan it when it arrives if it has been covered up?

Thanks for getting back to me @skajme.

If you ensure the new label doesn't cover the bar code on the original label to ensure this can be scanned when this is received, this can then be identified.
