Using old phone in the meantime

Hi, I’ve recently just upgraded my son’s Google Pixel 6 to an 8, with a new plan, for his Christmas. Current contract runs out on 7th Dec and I should have the new phone before then.

My question is, would he be able to use his old Pixel 6 after the 7th Dec, in the meantime up to Christmas Day, just with the new plan in place, then activate his new 8 on the day? Or is he getting an early Christmas present?

@B4mp0t If this was done via upgrading his new tariff will start regardless of what device is used. You can give the new device as a Christmas present.

Yeah it was done through the EE app as an upgrade. That was my thinking but was just making sure. Thanks very much 👍
