As far as I am aware, an updated Smart Hub with 2.5Gb LAN ports has been about to launch since 2023 but has not yet made it.

I am an early taker of Next Gen at 1.6Gb. When am I going to have access to a router that allows me to have wired connections at that speed. What is the point of selling a 1.6Gb service with a router that only supports 1Gb wired connections. It is impossible for me to have a wired connection at my guaranteed speed (1.3Gb) let alone my actual service speed (1.6Gb)

Not what you want to hear!

I am an early taker as not all FTTP exchanges are offering the service. The signal to the premises is fine and my only problem is that the SmartHub LAN ports cannot cope with the speed of the line.

Douglas Lewins FRSA

Yes you are right. The much awaited 2.5Gb LAN port Smart Hub has yet to be sighted other than in a watchful press. Had hoped that EE might have cared to add an update but sadly not.
