The minimum guaranteed speed quoted is very similar, however EE are quoting a much higher overall download speed than BT ever has.

My understanding was that they use the exact same infrastructure ie FTTC and copper to the house, therefore I don’t really understand how it can be significantly more? I.e BT quote 15-18MBs download.

I’m interested in switching if I will get better speeds, just don’t understand how it’d be possible?

As far as I am aware I have basic fibre with BT and this is the best I can get.

Thanks!

They both quote much the same Guaranteed Speed.

EE don't do a 16 Meg Fibre. Didn't think BT did either. Most ISPs do FTTC at either 40, 50 (BT only) or 80 Meg.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.
