BT home essentials, mid contract

Hello, I am mid contract and from the BT home essentials website I got the impression that as an existing EE broadband customer I could switch over at no extra cost as that’s what I says, does that cover mid-contract switches to the social tariff as I was told it does but now reading people have been charged cancellation fees for doing that I’m not so sure? Thanks a lot

I doubt you can now as BT is now switching all consumer customers on to EE & EE don't do any social BB tariffs. But why don't you just phone the no. given & ask?

it says on the home essentials website that EE customers can switch over with no fees, I called them the other day and they switched me over but I’ve had different people say different things about wether or not I will get an early exit fee. I even saw one of the community posts on here where you told someone that would face early exit fees for moving to the home essentials package and someone else then said that’s not the case?

@beauu If you have already called and they have changed you over, then it would be better for you to post How you did it for anyone else who finds themselves in this situation.
