I recently paid £39 for 30 days package and my phone has been connecting to the wifi fine and everything has been loading, I use this on a few of my devices as my data is weak where i live. All of a sudden everything was buffering and when i went into my setting to reconnect and login to the wifi it’s suggesting all my neighbours’ wifi networks but not showing EE. I’ve had a look to see if it is down in my area (flint) but says there should be a good connection. Can anyone help me with what I can do as i don’t have access to anything now (data barely works) and it’s also coming out of the payment plan i’ve paid for which i’m not even able to use?!

it’s not a wifi box it’s for the 3rd option when you click on EE wifi, the one which is available everywhere, it usually shows up in wifi settings and i can just connect to it from there with my account using the voucher i paid for (30 days) but it’s no longer coming up at all so the time i’ve paid for is just going to waste.. i’ve waited hours and tried multiple times, checked the connection in my area using the EE official website and even tried resetting my phone, just gutted as now i can’t really use much on my phone or use my tv at all

You must have tapped into a neighbours wi-fi signal someone on a BT router that was close by at the time.

if you search it EE wifi is accessible in a lot of areas i even use it when im out in Manchester and my data signal is bad. My neighbours don’t use EE or BT and it’s the EE official wifi not an actual router that would require a password when i click on it. I also bought my wifi voucher through the EE wifi i was connecting to so don’t think that’s right unfortunately.. thank you for trying to help though.

Im really not looking for a debate just looking for an answer I can provide screenshots of the wifi I usually use and that it’s no longer showing up, i haven’t assumed at any point and can also attach photos to further prove that which again will only be further wasting my time when i just want a resolution to my issue as im paying for the wifi im not currently able to use (and have been using for the past few months without this issue) the only neighbour who has an EE wifi box their wifi is (EE-TR527X) and requires an actual password. The one I have been using just says EE wifi and only needs your login details and lets you use the wifi once you have paid for a payment plan which again you’ll be able to find and see for yourself on the EE website 🤓 all i’m wondering is why when i go into my settings and click wifi it loads every network near me other than the one i usually connect to and if this will be resolved as it’s just wasting my money.

If you click on the link i sent, put only the start of you postcode it will show you where the Premium EE Wifi hotspots are. The BT home broadband customers routers have now been changed to send out EE WiFi non password protected that anyone who is a BT/EE customer with access, can join there network with the EE ID and connect to THERE wifi. IF someone was a BT customer and now moved to EE then if they have a new EE router that has now shut down the signal as the NEW EE routers do not allow this type of connection.

Use the link above and see how close the nearest Premium is, has to be very close for you to connect on wireless Wi-Fi signal.

Also many BT customers have been moved from BT to EE, some but not all will have got new routers that do not transmit the EE WiFi signal..

Whilst you can find the EE WiFi signal in areas with lots of broadband customers, it is not available everywhere.

I suspect the customer who was transmitting the signal near you has had a router upgrade or it has been switched off. You maybe able to find a signal source nearby.

It was just unfortunate timing as i paid for the plan only yesterday and thought that I could no longer access it at all meaning I had paid £39 for 24 hours, thank you for your help so far it has been useful it’s now showing up in my wifi list again but might be a bit faulty for a while because of the glitch as when i click on it now it just says unable to join😂🤦🏽‍♀️ hopefully it sorts itself out soon enough

Of course you're always at the mercy of the owner of the router nearby emitting EE WiFi.
