As the default the SH+ comes with a DHCP range on the subnet 192.168.1.x altho' it does have a coupla other optional pre-defined alternatives. However by going to its settings at Home > Advanced Settings > My Network > IPv4 Config you may change the DHCP Server Addy Range to "Custom" & choose any subnet you like, in particular changing the the 3rd part away from '1' to e.g. 192.168.5.x. Don't forget to change the Gateway IP Addy in line.

I am really struggling and in fact disssapointed with EE as it now appears that i cant access my work VPN since switching over to them. I have been told that it is possible to use VPN by some EE Guides and others say no. I could do with a propoer answer or solution around this. We used to have a BT Smart Hub 2 and it worked perfectly ( despite EE saying that it couldnt have) . I just cant understand why ever with so many people working at home sometimes that this is so hard to achieve. My IT company have advsied as below.

Your IP range is the same range as the Office. You will need to call EE and ask them to help you change your local IP LAN range

Your home range LAN range is 192.168.1 If they can change it to something else. For example 192.168.3 or 192.168.5

@PezMoz Both EE and BT, and indeed many other ISPs use the same LAN IP range, so your IT people are incorrect and fobbing you off.

It could be that the public IP range you have an issue and is more likley to be the problem. It would be worth you keeping a simple log of what your IP is, just go to Google and ask "Whats my IP".

You don't say what package you are on, and what restrictions you may have set up in the App.

Do you still have the BT router, have you tried using that again?

EE does not block VPN's but there are so many and implemented in so many way's there is no way CS can help - like any other program you run on your computer, support is down to you.
