Thanks for response, shame I was given false information by BT when I switched, told I would have same package. So now I'm paying more than if I took out an EE package as a new customer

Hi,
I recently moved from BT broadband to EE broadband. With BT I had Halo 3 and a Hybrid Connect (EE badge on front). As part of move, I was send a new Smarthub Plus and Smart Wifi 'discs' to replace my old BT kit. However, I did not get a new Hybrid Connect. I noticed that on the EE website the 'Smart' Hybrid Connect looks different (matches the Smarthub Plus style).

Is there any real difference in my older EE Hybrid Connect and the new 'Smart' Hybrid Connect, for example a better aerial, better wifi spec, and/or can act as a 'mesh' endpoint? Should I insist they send me the 'Smart' Hybrid Connect?

I have the same issue. Yes technically they are doing the same thing, but looks wise they are completely different. The original EE hybrid connect matches the style of the Smart Hub 2 from BT, the new EE smart Hub + is completely different, style wise. The old Hybrid looks silly parked next to the router, like a third party option. If I order a new package I don't expect to be lumbered with an old device. It's effectively the same as moving to another provider. I would be very surprised if they are exactly the same internally, the new hybrid is bound to be different tech. I am going to demand the new hybrid as it's part of my deal.

I have just moved from BT and the Halo3 package which included the Hybrid Connect, was told by BT when switching over to EE I would have the exact same package, I have been moved to the Essentials 67 package with the addition of Smart WIFI. But have just received an email saying I've got to send my Hybrid Connect back? Does the Smart WIFI package include EEs equivalent Hybrid Connect?

Should be that there is a complete terms for doing so. You should also be able to find some things on the EE site for customers coming from BT in the EE help section. HTH looks like it is a complete minefield!!!!
