Hi @MISAW

Have you tried powerline adaptors on your exiting sockets. The reason I ask is the signal is only as good as your wiring and therefore you might be spending more to replace sockets which shows no benefit.

I have never seen these sockets before and i would always be wary of the only supplier is ebay, the speed at 200Mbps is slow given most pass through adaptors allow much faster transfers.

Thanks.

I am interested in installing this device, so it can connect to the electrical distribution box.

I have seen, online, a 'Powerline 200AV Power Ethernet Socket T1002 with 4 LAN HomePlug AV' device.

On the Develo website, they promote the use of their own Powerline adapter to work with the DINrail device.

Do you reckon, the below device will be compatible or MUST it be a Develo branded Powerline?

Powerline 200AV Power Ethernet Socket T1002 with 4 LAN HomePlug AV | eBay

This may not be a question anyone will have, unless you have tried it. In theory this should work, but I think it's a compatibility thing which I wanted an answer on.

@MISAW Powerline is a standard, but you will more than likely find that if you use the same adapters that they are far more compatible with each other. Probably not a good idea to mix different types/makes. There is now 3 different standards at present so would not be a good idea to mix and match.
