I concur that the EE hub is VERY naïve!

I cite the following functionality examples:

* Firewall by default is ON , there is seemingly no option to turn it OFF - even momentarily - to test issues ?

* Wifi channels on 2.4 GHz can only be set to "Smart" 1,6, or 11 - we live in the UK with European channels! not the USA for Dawkins sake! We have channels 1 to 13 which allow for 4 channel frequency planning (1/5/9/13) can I set channel 5 ? (verified with a spectrum analyser as my cleanest channel) no! - this is STUPID in the extreme!

* Either there is some upstream NATing going on or the DMZ IP function doesnt work properly for UDP traffic (see my separate post for details)

EE suggested I "provide my own PPPoE fibre router" well it seems I cannot do that as I dont have the PPPOE credentials!

They are sending someone out on Monday (I am not confident of resolution) but beyond frustrated right now

regards

BB
