Or did you purchase the black disk's your self?

If you require to upgrade to the New EE Smarthub+ then it will require the Smart Wi-Fi disks to match that particular router. Model is the SW30A smart wi-fi disk to match the SH31B router.

I had a similar issue. I changed from BT broadband to EE and was sent a new EE Smart Hub Plus.

I preciously had a BT Smart Hub 2 with black Wi-Fi extender discs. Unfortunately the black discs are not compatible with the EE Smart Hub Plus.

I discovered that the EE service works fine with the old BT Smart Hub 2 router. So I simply use the old set up as it was and put the new Smart Hub Plus back in the box.

I had the same problem.Feel I was misled.Even though EE acknowledge this from call record. They stated they were not compatible as routers for smart hub plus dealt greater speeds. The only way is to increase monthly payment for new extenders.. Having spoken to Various EE departments they stated they were phasing out older routers to now standardise faster full fibre network. Why they could not facilitate older extenders to new routers considering speeds drop around many properties. They stated that new extenders àre capable of faster speeds . Even though still seems to indicate use of both 2.4gh and 5 gh. Both have advantages but 2.4gh is said to travel better distance. Perhaps try other non.EE extenders but they will not guarantee their use with EE product as they stated. The only options given were add new extenders or try external brands with full fibre capabilities ( not guaranteed) or switch to new ISP as they could not phase back to older access agreements as they are in the process of being phased out towards faster full fibre WiFi 6 or to next generation WiFi 7?
