Hi all,

I am trying to replace my Smart Hub 2 with a TP-Link Archer AX55.

EE tell me that the connection type is Dynamic IP, I have then specified the MAC Address as the same on the back of my SH2. However the AX55 will not connect to the Internet.

I have hardwired my laptop into the ONS box and it tells me there is no Internet. However when EE run a network test everything comes back fine.

Any help GREATLY received, just spent the best part of 2 hours on the phone with EE Tech Support.. shout out to Rowan for all his help and patience!

What's the MAC addy of the SH2 got to do with anything? There's no need to fake it. Have you set the EE PPPoE BB username & pwd in the TP-Link? Same when you try your lappy direct to the ONT.

As you get a connection with the SH2 but not with the TP-Link or the lappy it shows the EE network test was right & there is a BB signal there. That's consistent with you not setting the PPPoE BB username & pwd.

Smart Hub 2? Is that BT's? EE doesn't have 1.

The EE BB PPPoE Username/pwd is the same as BT's: bthomehub@btbroadband.com /BT or blank

Thank you.. I was messing with the MAC because it was a requirement if I used a Dynamic IP Connection type as EE told me. However PPPoE with the username as stated above and no password has worked straight away so thank you for your assistance!
