Disposing of modems

How do I dispose of an old Orange Livebox? When EE sent me a new router recently, they said if I had a Livebox to dispose of it safely. But I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm assuming there is no info stored on a router so I don't have to do anything with it before getting rid of it?
