topic UDM FTTP - Openreach Nokia ONT in Broadband & Landline

I've recently had EE FTTP setup and installed - All working good with the Smart Hub Plus.

Ideally, I'd like to use my UDM straight into the ONT - I've tried setting that up with PPPoE and username/password bthomehub@btbroadband.com / BT, auto DNS, but have had no luck connecting to the ISP. I've followed all the steps at How Do I Use My Own Router for Home Broadband? | Help | EE

Tried:

Factory resetting the UDM

Factory resetting the ONT

Changing settings from Unifi app, over WiFi connection to 192.168.1.1 and via LAN cable

Unplugging/restarting/replacing ethernet cables from UDM and ONT

I always get the same result! Cannot connect to ISP.

I don't get an internet connection regardless of if the UDM is in 'initial setup' mode, or already setup and altering settings in the WAN menu.

When connecting back to the EE Smart Hub Plus with the UDM out of the loop, everything works as intended.

Of course, the Smart Hub Plus doesn't support bridge mode and at current, I don't have a hub/modem that does.

In my previous home/setup, I used the UDM > BT Business Hub (bridge mode) > VDSL/FTTC and everything worked as intended.

Does anyone have any advice to resolve this?

Thank you in advance!

Did you get this up and running. I am upgrading to the new 1.6gbps package on may 23rd. I currently have the fibre 900 and can connect to the ONT using my pppoe firewalla gold SE.

Keen to see if you got this sorted ? I’m having the exact same issue. Can not get a connection via PPPOE from the Nokia ONT.
