Ee broadband new account number

I decided to change my EE broadband/landline to just EE broadband.

The new went live today.. different account number that isn't recognised on the EE app.

My question is if they are different account numbers when does the old one stop and when does the landline disconnect?

Did you give your old landline no. to be used to host your new BB?

I've signed up for fibre 36 essentials

I just said I no longer wanted a landline, couldn't see the point of paying for it when I didn't use it

I don't know. It just says fibre is 36 essentials/ smart hub plus on pre contract

I plugged the new hub into day as I had a text to say it had been activated

I've swapped from EE broadband/landline to EE .

I can only see my old account on myee

I think you're on New EE BB "Fibre Without Landline". That still uses a copper landline to host the BB (as it was before) but you don't get a landline no.

Did you supply your old landline no. as part of your order?

That's correct I'm still on copper wire.

I can't remember supplying my old landline number. I called EE and a lady did it for me.

I just said I know longer needed a landline

They would have used your existing landline, as you no longer wanted voice services, to carry the BB.

In any case you should stop paying for the landline from when you switched.

Ok that makes sense.

Only activited new hub today.

Do you know when my old broadband /landline package will stop as it's still showing as active ?

Should stop at same time. You can't have more than 1 BB connection over the same landline. Can you tell which you're on from how it acts? I don't suppose you can. The SH+ router will act the same on either.

It's just a matter of EE a/c's. Many New EE BB users are having issues with them. Just wait to your next bill(s) & see how EE are accounting for it.

Shows my old EE broadband/ landline as active 👎

BUT I cannot see my new EE broadband account/ plan

( Activated new hub today) I try to add it "not recognised"

They All 3 have different account numbers

Honestly I'm at my whits end. Only stayed with EE for ease and I needed to save money and it's causing me so much stress.

Unbelievable that you can't access new bb account in my ee
