How do I leave EE?

its soooo expensive. When I set up my account it was only £22 a month now it’s doubled!! And it’s just basic broadband no extras.

plus I’m autistic and I struggle with phones and ee doesn’t seem to have a way to talk to anyone unless you phone them!! Eek nightmare for me. Live chat or email communication only please!

My questions are…will I get charged even more when I leave?! And will I have to pay this months broadband payment if I leave before it’s due?

@Starlingking You pay until you leave.

Sounds like your contract period is up and you’ve not taking out a new contract, any discounts you originally got are removed once your con period is over. If you want to change ISP you just need to sort this with a different network provider.

@Starlingking : Have you reached the end of your min. contract term? Your bill will increase at that time as you would've been informed when you took it out. You can see this even now with EE's current offers:

Fibre Plus Broadband

54-73 Mb/s estimated download speed range

£27 a month, 24 month contract, then £32 a month

Which EE BB package do you have?

Instead of letting your current contract run on at the higher price, all you have to do is commit to a new 24-month contract for the same BB package at a lower price than you are paying now. You can do this online thro' your MyEE for BB under Change your broadband plan .

To cancel your EE BB & Home Phone either:

If you no longer want any BB at your location, you phone EE on the Freephone no. (Opt 1) in my sig. and give 14 days notice OR
If you want to migrate your BB to another ISP other than VM or if you're moving to FTTP, you apply to them directly & they'll take care of everything bar your final EE bill.

If you do cancel, you will be charged up to your min. term if that hasn't expired yet. Beyond that you will only be charged for the days you are with EE & would quite likely get a rebate as you pay your bills a month in advance. So don't cancel your DD if you pay that way so as to receive any refund.

Thanks XRaySpex great reply and very helpful.

But EE don’t have many options for me to change my plan without phoning them and I struggle with phones. I think I’d have to use relay or something which I find awkward. So I’m going to have to find a better access system for a broader range of people needing different communication types sadly.

I prefer live chat, text or email to sort these things out. I think you get those options on Plusnet.

@Starlingking like EE, Plusnet are also part of the BT Group, they do not have live chat, except for some sales, nor text or email to get support.
