Its unlikely to be the Bandwidth, and more likely to be due to the 2.5 / 5ghz tethering. If its displaying a message that says connection is not private, it may be due to a splash page of some description, such as if you are connecting to a public network such as the openzone. Some EE Hubs have a smart setup feature, which may also be causing the issue, as this displays a splash page to each device connected.

If you head to the router, and locate the admin username / password on the router,

head to a computer, and in a browser type: 192.168.1.254, and follow the option to login, using the admin login details from your router.

From here, you are able to manage the routers settings, heading to wifi settings you can unbundle the 2.4 and 5ghz networks, and disable smart setup.

It's worth noting, that the smart hub uses Wifi6, a new technology that is not compatible with all devices.

Hi all

I’m trying to connect aria scales to new EE WiFi, they are intermittently connecting and when they do it says my connection is not private so cannot complete set up. I think this may be due to broadband width? How go I change to allow set up of 2.4mhz ? (Not tech sav)

Thanks
