@Yourfaceoncake welcome to the community and thanks for posting. Have you cleared your browser cookies and cache to see if that helps? These are the steps for connecting on a laptop.

On your desktop: click the wireless icon at the bottom right of the screen and select EE WiFi from the drop-down menu.

Secondly, once connected to the EE WiFi network, you're ready to login to your closest EE WiFi hotspot and start using the internet. To login to a hotspot:

Once you join the EE WiFi network (steps above), a browser window will appear. If it doesn't, open your browser and type 'https://ee-wifi.ee.co.uk/public/ee' into your browser's address bar.

If you're an existing customer with an access account click the 'log in now' button and you'll be presented with 4 options in the drop down menu.

EE Broadband account — Use this if you are a new EE Broadband customer

EE WiFi Voucher account — Use this if you're an existing EE WiFi voucher customer

BT Broadband account — Use this if you're an existing BT Broadband customer

BT Business Broadband account — Use this if you're an existing BT Business Broadband customer

You are now online and can start browsing.

On desktop or tablet devices, a new web browser window may open confirming you're connected. Minimise, rather than close, the web browser window - now you're ready to browse the internet.

Help & advice | Find WiFi hotspots | EE WiFi

Thanks

Hi Neil, thanks so much for your reply. I'll try clearing cookies/browser
history but I don't think it's that. The wifi pop-up appears but when I
click 'log in now' nothing happens - I'm not presented with any options in
a drop down menu. Will update if clearing the cookies/browser history works!
Thank you!

Another problem I’ve discovered today, following my less than successful move from BT to EE…

I was in an EE WiFi hotspot for the first time. I connected to the EE WiFi network and then it prompts me to choose a method to sign in. I selected EE Broadband customer, and then it took me to the familiar EE login screen. I entered my details, which it accepted, but then it looped me back to the login screen without enabling my internet access.

Anyone else had this problem? Is it working for others who have moved over?

My case is still with BT/EE Executive Complaints. I actually can't login to my broadband account at all now, via the app or tie website. The whole EE ID seems to be broken. My actual broadband is still working and Executive Complaints has agreed to waive all charges until it's resolved, so it's just a waiting game now...

Hi I have had the same issue.

This is a known issue with EE. Those with BT ID have an issue with the login to the EE hotspots.

If you (or anyone reading this) has the same issue I have been told to call EE and ask for a 30 day voucher, each time you need hotspot access.

There's currently no time frame for the fix.

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem. I have been talking to EE - several call-centre operators and their final statement, is that as a "Legacy" EE customer, the "new" agreement for broadband EE and "old" BT customers to have access to EE-wifi hotspots FOC is not available, as we are on a separate system (Excalibar) and that does nopt alloow the link for Legacy EE customers to have the EE-WiFi hotspots. I have not accepted this and am waiting to talk to a more senior operator or manager at EE now. They are now trying to migrate my account to a "new" EE account which is then automaticallyu authorised for the EE Wifi hotspots. I will update this posting when they have completed their action.

Hello Again,

After 40 minutes on the phone to various EE departments, I spoke to someonein "EE Legacy" Accounts (Scott) who was very pleasant and did a lot of research for me on hold. He confirmed that I was in an EE Legacy Account (I have been with EE since when it was Orange!) and that, as such, I was not able to use the EE Wifi Hotsots FOC which is advsertised for all BT and EE Broadband customers. He offered to move my account to a new EE account, but could not offer me the same contract deal - it would be £10-£12 more expensive per month - which I would not accept just for the benefit of a few EE Wifi Hotspots. So, to sume up - there's no loyalty bonus from EE since they have conjoined with BT and I will obviously look at leav ing them for a better deal when my cotract is up for renewal - that way they will lose a loyal and faithful customer and gain some poor reviews. I thought that the OFT tries to ensure that people on "old" contracts are not disadvantaged when "new customers" are taken on, but I am obvioulsy wrong and very disappointed, They did not offer me any free vouchers for their EE Wifi hotpsots - so I shall do without for the time-being. Sorry not to have been successful.

My suggestion is that you raise a formal complaint. This will get you connected with a BT/EE Executive Compaints Manager, who are generally more helpful and have access to more resources than the basic tech support agents you can reach yourself. I'd be surprised if you can't negotiate a retention deal with them to either get the EE WiFi on your current package, or to move to new EE without paying more (or at least, if you do pay more, without a recurring credit on your account to offset the difference). Be very clear with EE through the complaint that this is the resolution you are seeking.
