Hi 420Gaming

A few things to check:

Are they on the same Wifi Band?

Is the Tx/Rx rate the same (should be 866mb/s)

Try an iPerf test between your PC and hers, should rule out the wifi link speed being the issue

hiya, so me and my partner BOTH have the same pcs, literally identical, in the same room and everything, that being said, her pc fluctuates between 50-60mbps and mine goes between 6.5 and 7mbps... download speed! how is that even possible!? any way i can get that speed on mine too??

Are you doing your speed tests to the same site? Are you doing them at the same time?

Is there a difference when the other PC is switched off?

It could be something simple such as something in the way procking your PC;s WiFi signal, or an app on your PC hogging your bandwidth.

Tx/Rx rate is the more technical term for Link speed to the router

For an iPerf test, you'd need to run Windows Sub System for Linux (I think) on one of the PC's to act as the server

@420Gaming - how are you measuring speed?

Are you sure you're not confusing megabits with megabytes? Only reason I ask, is that 6.5 megabytes/s = 52 megabits/s, which would align with what your partner sees.

For TX/RX rates, you can check this by running the following from a Windows command prompt if you know how?

<LI-CODE lang="markup">C:\Users\Bob>netsh wlan show interfaces

There is 1 interface on the system:
