topic Router upgrade in Broadband & Landline

Hello,

Just a quick thing - we currently have a Fibre Plus plan and we have an EE Smart Hub router - the house isn't fully covered from a wireless point of view and we've been looking into the practicalities of increasing house coverage

We're aware that we can get Wi-Fi boosters and extenders but as a first step I was wondering if getting an upgraded router (either through EE or a 3rd party) would make much difference? Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Thanks
J

It's possible! You'll just have to suck it & see. Good generic routers are generally more powerful than ISP-supplied 1s.

@nottingham123 much will depend on the build of your house and how much you have to spend.

You can get simple Wi-Fi extenders relatively cheaply or spend several hundreds of £ on Mesh systems.

Some ISP's even give total house coverage these days.

You could do worse than have a chat at you local Currys, or look at the equipment they have on sale - https://www.currys.co.uk/computing/networking/whole-home-wi-fi-systems?q=network

HTH
